I figured the strategy forum was the best place to put this, although its about PvE.
i obviously risk being flamed by some people for saying this, but having two death necros on your team is stupendously powerful in terms of minion army. plenty of people i have suggested this to moan about the fact that surely there isnt enough corpses around and that there is no point in having redundant skills on different characters. To them I say this : 2 death necros with lvl 16 Death magic (not hard - superior rune and head scar pattern) can keep verata's sacrifice running constantly with little effort. combine this with blood of the master, and you get approximately 35 minions running with the group after 10 minutes of a mission. people also say minions aren't much use against boss monsters. ( dunno why ). With barbs and order of pain, all the minions (say for example, 35) do an extra 24 damage per hit. that is a ridiculous amount of damage from bone fiends, and we steamrolled mineral springs, iron mines, the way to granite citadel, the way to rankor etc. there was almost no need for healing henchies or players either - dark bond and taste of death meant we just killed a minion to gain all our hp back. Just a thought to those death necros out there - theres better minions if you double up.

You really need to coordinate the two Death Necros tho...since you'll be using up each other's corpses. Another problem with minions tho...they can't follow targets and we'll pretty much always aggro too many mobs -_-

You probably won't be flamed, minion necromancers aren't terrible in PvE, and due to the current corpse glitch, they're becoming more popular in PvP.

There's an interesting way to get an everydying corpse, which results in a lot of minions, in fact, one minion spell every 4 seconds or so.

another interesting way to get the corpses (although its risky) is to wait in your own area with two necros. One has a lot of lifesteal and sacrifice life skills, the other is a death necro with curses. the saccer kills himself with saccs before the fight even begins, the death necro gets a minion (or two). He is vengeanced, and kills himself again using sac (or if someone has enchant remove on their own team - don't think that exists though) sacc/vengeance as much as you can before the match starts - you should be able to get about 4(or 8) minions for the price that one team member has -15% death penalty. and yeah, the corpse thing does require co-ordination, but we tried it with TeamSpeak and it was poetry in motion in terms of animation of minions. The Verata's ended up with quite a silly amount of minions too :P - it really didnt matter that they aggroed all the mobs, as by using MoP and Barbs, the minions wiped them all out without hardly any effort - its impressive watching minions being able to take on three mobs from mineral springs and none of your team members even break a sweat in the fight

that has nothing to do with a glitch,
Its just a necro that gets resed and kills himself over and over again. With another necro summoning minions everytime. I did it with some friends before. Infact, i saw the strategy in the little booklet that came with the preorder package, it said something about dying and resing to get corpses.
